WHAT'S IN THE APP

One map for getting around Auckland

Everything moves on the map from live data: live transport feeds and live aircraft feeds. The 3D city is built from public LiDAR, so the buildings are where they really are.

Stop board with the next buses at Te Waihorotiu Station
BUSES

The likely time, not the printed one

Kiwimap learns from the live feed how each route actually runs, then shows when your bus will most likely get to your stop, plus your walk.

WHO MADE THIS

Built by Antony Ross

AR
Antony RossFormer commercial pilot. CEO of a hotel chain. Now building with applied AI.

I flew as a commercial pilot for three years and I'm CEO of a hotel chain in Cyprus. I've also run event companies across Europe, and these days I build with applied AI.

Kiwimap is a one-person project. I designed it and built it end to end with AI coding agents: I scope each job, check what comes back, test it on the street on my own phone, and I run the whole thing.

Flying is why the planes and ferries had to move the way they really do. Years in hotels are why every screen starts with what the person at the bus stop needs, and AI is how one person ships all of it.

Tools I use every day, including Claude Code, ChatGPT and Codex, Gemini, DeepSeek, Kimi, Cursor, and open-weight models run locally with Ollama.

01Bus times learned from the live feedThe app records where every bus actually is against the timetable and learns how late each route runs at each stop and time of day. Every change is scored against real arrivals (how long people wait, how often they'd miss the bus) before it ships.
02A live 3D city on a phoneAuckland's buildings are built from public LiDAR. Buses, ferries and planes are drawn on top in real time, and ferries follow hand-drawn routes into each berth so they don't sail through wharves.
03More than one AI checks the workEvery bus and ferry fix goes into a written register. Two different AI models review it independently, it runs on a preview server first, and then I test it on a real bus before anyone else sees it.
04Live on the App StoreSince 4 October 2026, in six languages, used by riders and visitors in Auckland.
Also built: a hotel management system for a group of five hotels, covering bookings, rates, housekeeping and reporting.
